Derwent Valley Dog Club dogs Web

Derwent Valley Dog Club is a friendly and active dog-training club based in Derby.

Founded in 1994 we celebrated our twentieth anniversary year in 2014.

We usually send a large representation to Crufts. In 2004 our founder Chris Briggs Judged the Obedience.

Registered with the Kennel Club, there are separate classes, which provide training for the Kennel Club Good Citizens scheme.

Club members and their dogs can progress Puppy Foundation through the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Classes. Emphasis is placed on the progressive training of dog and handler, in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Dogs are usually accepted after initial assessment to avoid disruptive and antisocial dogs.

 See our contact page.

The club also operates a separate Fun Agility Class, where handler and dog can enjoy using small equipment before moving on to competetive Agility with other clubs.

Classes are held in Derby at The All For Dogs Training Centre at Unit 2 Empire Works, Parcel Terrace Derby DE1 1LY

Members can also take part in the occasional social events that are organised.
